Overview

The project portrayed a design journey where users' living environments are reimagined as they are in the boat. This design process entails an exploration of the interplay between solid and void spaces, which is achieved through geometric studies. The project was done with the aim of understanding how these criteria influence the experience of human participant. The project then exapand and establishes inhabitant spaces by drawing connections between spaces to accommodate diverse living arrangements, ensuring support for various types of families

thought it would be fascinating to address each user with a distinct type of geometry, in order to showcase their different behaviors. By analyzing the commonality between their behaviors, I combined various forms and crafted a boat capable of accommodating 3 different types of users.

Development

Built upon the methodology of overlapping, solid vs. void relationships, and strategic spatial planning, the development started with initial line sketches, which then evolved into measured drawings and abstract models to create a local community using very simple shapes, lines and points.

The prototype is then produced in 3D, deriving from the line and point system created in step 2. This is done in order to build a community that shares a similar identity and values—an abstract emotion to demonstrate how community could be interconnected in architecture and urban development
